Gradius: Rush!

King of Games from on December 3rd, 2025

Notes & Combos

My Gradius list is pretty bog standard and includes a lot of techs for reliable spell/trap destruction which helps maintain aggressive OTK pushes and avoid getting shut down by Shiny Shady and other popular trap cards. Cyber Serpent isn't strictly necessary for the deck but if you own a set I would highly recommend trying it out (replace some of the Barrage/Storm copies) as it can greatly accelerate your early game deck milling and give occasional extra draws.

Overall Gradius feels very powerful when it works, and it can definitely set up powerful boards and steal wins against any deck in the format. Unfortunately having one of the archetype's boss monsters locked behind an otherwise useless skill means you lose out on the powerful consistency skills that just about every meta deck takes advantage of. This deck really struggles to come back from behind in longer games, so if you don't draw a nice mix of fighter/option monsters in your opening hand it can get rough.
