Notes & Combos
Fluffals are one of my favorite TCG decks, on the very rare occasions I ever play in that format. So you can imagine my excitement when all of their best cards were released earlier this month in the newest mini box, with a decent but not overly wordy Skill to boot! This plays about as well as it does in the TCG except now Dog basically searches any monster in the archetype thanks to the 1st effect of the Skill, it’s an OTK deck that can amass resources for its Fusion monsters like it’s nothing while looking cute as **** doing it.
Tbh I hardly ever used the Skill’s 2nd effect in my entire climb as most of my gameplay revolved around making Abyss Dweller and/or popping stuff with Whale, though the inescapable SUCC of Frightfur Bear did come up once or twice against the occasional Unchained opponent—and that’s the kind of Skill that makes this game fun, the kind that make anime decks more consistent and breathe life into overlooked cards but you don’t always have to use them every game.
I also hardly ever summoned Sheep, though I wouldn’t cut it for two reasons 1) it’s an additional send for Whale if you’ve already dumped Repair w/ its effect, and 2) it’s a somewhat sticky monster that allows you to use Chain’s GY effect.
