pk itself is a very even matchup. Your ability to out ophion with a chain blocked link 3 is important going 2nd. It means that you are not reliant on drawing specific non engine to out their board.
be is free if you go 1st. If you go 2nd, you need to pray they don't have melody. Without sana, their interactions aren't great at stopping your combo.
striker can really **** you up with multiple shark cannons. It depends on how they draw. Going 2nd it's relatively easy to OTK with unaffected lvl 11 (they can't kaina it) or summoning yoko after they kaina.
pk made some bad matchups like tg and zombies less common.
As for specific cards, I consider Nine-Tailed to be mandatory now, because you can end on a board that doesn't turn on doll fusion. You also need it against pk to avoid getting OTKed by arc rebellion.
Droplet to stop requiem and floodgates like winda and dweller.
Lance to stop requiem or terminus. It's also good against striker and be.
