Notes & Combos

Sacky offensive Gaia decks are still overwhelmingly the most popular choice on the ladder right now so I've had to tighten parts of my decklist accordingly. Generally Wyrms cannot put out the incredibly explosive turn 1/2 boards Gaia can but if the Wyrms board can comfortably survive that initial push and start building up momentum and graveyard resources the balance of the match swings dramatically in their favor. Gantry Dragon and Dragline continue to perform exceptionally well and this month I've been working on making better use of them when it comes to optimizing complex summon combos and aggressively milling with Tarasque as often as possible to maximize opportunities to use their effects.

In a little under a week the Gaia skill is going to get heavily nerfed and we're going to get a wave of new Sevens Road Magician support as well as a new skill for the deck. Despite this appearing to be the beginning of a new level of power creep for Spellcasters and Rush Duel as a whole, my impression is that Wyrms are strong enough currently that they'll still be able to compete. We'll see how the release goes, I want to try out the new cards but overall I think Wyrms will stay as my favorite Rush deck.
