Notes & Combos
Dark Magician RUSH is back and stronger than before! This was so fun to get to King of Games with and I can't recommend it enough! Anyone who is looking to play Dark Magician in RUSH, the deck is in a much better position to be played! Some notes:
- Secret Order is the key to this deck's power. Dark Magician getting boosted to 3200 ATK and being immune to Trap Card destruction gives it the power to easily beat over ANY monster that is thrown your way! Since you can revive from the GY as well, this makes it even better to maximise value from your other cards!
- Since we can use Secret Order, Sevens Road Sorcerer was cut down to 1 in case the field needs to be cleared to make your backrow live and unclog your hand! It's amazing how many times it came up and saved me.
- Sevens Road Mage was introduced as another way to combat Level 7+ monsters. I got plenty of value out of it and can serve as a Fusion punisher.
- Forever Freeze had very niche uses, so Curtain of Sparks was swapped in, which came up WAY more than Forever Freeze did. 500 ATK reduction truly does wonders!
- Mystic Dealer was put to 2. Although Mystic Dealer is good, I wanted to make sure I had room for other cards as well.
- x3 Dark Magic Attack cause we love nuking the backrow and play the ultimate wizard as much as possible! x3 Recovery Force for the deck refreshing + draw and no Talismanic Seal Array whatosever!
