Notes & Combos
Very awkward skill in the meta. Would be a lot better if Cyber Dragon didnt end on a ton of big bodies.
The idea behind the deck is to abuse TSA and Sword & Shield's interaction with Blue Tooth. You can also play this deck with a Light Sorcerer engine to enable more frequent pops, but you'll be hard pressed to find a skill. This deck's skill is really fun going second into low level boards, as you can flip a face-down face-up to be exposed for Blue Tooth, and being one of the more reliable outs to a Set AGG is nice. You can also play Dragonic Resonance here instead. Not sure which is better though.
Bunker Strike is here for three reasons. The first is that I have incredibly bad Tribute Monster luck. If I play 5, I'll draw 2-3 constantly. If I play 4, I'll never see anything. Bunker Strike is the compromise, allowing me to have more control over games that I would lose to bad RNG. Bunker is also really good at finding TSA and rotating bodies for positioning, for example, concealing rudant copies of TSA back into the Deck to insulate against from Barrage of Steel. The last reason isn't unique to it - it's 2300 ATK, so it doesn't get bullied by Assault Dragon. Stuff like Cracking Dragon has that same niche, and has the benefit of using the skill, but Bunker is more reliable and Hacking almost never resolves.
Speaking of never resolving, Phantom Bind was a last minute addition. Never got to activate it due to the surplus of Barrage of Steel. The theory here is that all these Cydra decks are cycling through their GY very fast, so you can cheese a ton of damage if you find it late game. The Fortitude Dragon Trap is a tad more reliable, but this deck really needs cheesy moments in that MU to even have a chance. Plus, Cydra is is pretty much everywhere, so it's almost always good. I would play more copies but the deck cannot afford an additional Spell/Trap slot without bogging the consistency down, and nothing else is worth the cut. Realistically, play the Dragon MST in this card's place, as it will probably be more active in practice. Again, shout outs to Barrage of Steel. No idea why that deck is allowed a million extenders and 3 copies of backrow removal lol.
