Notes & Combos

Same list as June 2024, but I added Borreload Dragon just in case. Didn't become the cleanest out to Lyrilusc, as Beryl Canary exists, but it was easier to make than Ningirsu imo.

This month I faced a lot of crazy matchups, like Star Seraph, Sacred Beast, Lyrilusc, and Sky Strikers. None of it was particularly easy, but I was confident in my ability to pilot this deck and that was all I needed tbh. Got the KoG on the first rank up attempt vs Star Seraph after a 10 winstreak.

NEW things with Pookuery and Memorygant:

  1. Easier to Link climb, especially with Altergeist Overwrite generating an "Altergeist" monster from your Linkuriboh or Moon Maiden.
  2. Memorygant deals with big untargetable monsters like Leo Dancer, FINALLY!

Some tips to play optimally:

  • If you open Silquitous + Manifestation as your only play, that's where Moon Maiden comes up to loop those two cards each turn until you draw into what you need.
  • Primebanshee comes up to summon Meluseek in Attack Position.
  • Hexstia negate isn't once per turn if you can Manifestation revive in front of the arrow again. It never came up to negate again, but I always did that just in case.
  • Silquitous + Kunquery negates 2 attacks.
  • A major unknown fact is Kunquery can jump on the Chain at any moment during attack declaration, as long as you control an Altergeist card in that window during that Chain, and as long as Kunquery is in the hand to see the attack declaration (even if bounced for cost). Understanding that will save you 80% of your troubles.
