Notes & Combos
I was originally playing Beast Magnum Overroad since the past season (which I did not KoG'd due to me doing other stuff and hobbies), but they just released a new box, which included Metagiastar, and a new Dragon skill which is just the old Dragiastar Nova skill but somehow better. While the deck is still big number OTK that can be played around and weaker than the big dogs of the current format, I still love my dragons and I am so happy I can play the deck normally.
- Miragias is still king.
- Metagias got its Fusion so we are using it, and the skill can give it an atk buff and 2-Edge can boost him further and some people are playing Widespread over other Legend traps so its effect does come up.
- Dragias is not as useful with a skill that only boost DARK Dragons but having it at least with 1 copy is still a must because its Dragias, and its Fusion is still good.
- Phoenix Dragon is not longer a Limit-1 so it can be used in these decks!
- D-Twin recycles your necessary monsters to be used later in the duel + it alone counts as a tribute for your high levels.
- 2-Edge is our new member of the DL Rush Dragons family. It boosts your DARK Dragons. You can also search this guy with the skill.
- Geist is Soul Drake but for DARK Dragons (also for EARTH Dragons but we are not playing any of those) and way better due not having a restriction thanks to how you build this deck.
- Replacer is Replacer although it conflicts with Geist and probably you should play 3 of either of the two. Unfortunately I only have 1 Geist.
- The Dragon is Fusion material. Always play 3.
- Poly as the Legend spell because it helps on certain situations, like not having enough normal summons or stuff on GY for Replacer or D-Twin to normal your high levels, or your opp uses Shady on your materials to stop you from fusion summoning with FUSION!
- Dragon's Inferno and Cyclones because this deck is weak to good backrow, not just the Legend trap.
- FUSION! and only the one because you can search it multiple times in the duel again.
- NA is the best Legend trap for Dragons because keeping your opp's high atk monsters on the field gives you huge advantage.
- You know Slime.
- Shady is for stall and potentially unbrick even if it can make you to lose the advantage from the skill at times.
- You know what Miragiastar and Dragiastar do, hopefully.
- Metagiastar either boost atk of it and others or protects itself and others from Widespread.
