Notes & Combos

So... backstory time. I was playing the Rush ladder with Dragons after reaching KoG, and encountered someone trying a machine pile deck that had me interested. I won the duel, checked their deck, and... it looked functional but some stuff felt wrong, so I took it upon myself to clean it up, and lo and behold, my version of the deck: Machine Pile!

  • AG Golem (x1) is the best card in Rush, no doubt, no reason to say why it's a must for this.

  • Jointech Rex (x1) is backrow removal on normal summon and recycles cards to do so.

  • Mirror Innovator (x3), our guy from previous metas is back for vengeance, and do deal a lot of damage by recycling machines from deck to gain big atk, or recycle one machine from grave to deal piercing with a small boost of atk.

  • Jointech Leo (x3) is an Ok beater but it's there to retrieve your Golem or Rex at the cost of your opp setting a backrow from grave.

  • Essel (x3) is for going 2nd and for putting stuff in grave.

  • Boltricorn (x1) is always a good card to have to disable a backrow.

  • Star Replacer (x3) enables your 2-tribute summons with an empty field and a low level on grave to special summon said low level.

  • Imaginary Reactor (x3) and Sword Dancer (x2-3), alongside Ashurastar (x1) looks weird to have with no Fusion on deck, however, the skill Lighstar Sign gives you Fusion by revealing a fusion monster from ED to boost one of its materials' Atk on field, although the skill can only let you Fusion summon once for the entire duel.

  • Aim Eagle (x1) is just there to punish your opp for playing high levels and you have another LIGHT on field, although you can easily replace it with a third Sword Dancer.

  • Spell and Traps are simple. Reincarnation (x1) because you are playing Reactor. Talismatic (x2) to enable OTKs, Barrage (x3) because we hate backrow. And the 3 of the strongest traps in the game to complete our defenses.

  • Extra Deck is just Ashurastar (big beater and backrow/set monster removal) because, like I said before, you can only Fusion summon once per Duel with the skill. You can either run just the 1 Ashurastar, it + filler to brag about or run few, specific cards to trick your opp that you are playing something else, like I did, as Luke can use this non-archive skill, so you run the Ashurastar + 2 random fusions to make them believe you are playing Dragons.

Honestly, quite the fun deck that abuses the stronger cards available! If you have everything in here, try it out!
