Prerequisites

  • A registered Konami ID linked to your master duel game
  • Must login to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB using the same Konami ID
  • If the Yu-Gi-Oh! DB website asks to login with Game Card ID just click "I don't have a game card ID" and fill some basic information to proceed

Export Guide

- Via the MDM extension (Recommended): Download on Firefox, or Chromium Browsers
For Chromium browsers (Chrome/Edge/Opera/Brave...etc) just click "Add to chrome" on the store page and it'll work on most if not all chromium browsers.
After using the extension, go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

  1. Click here to copy the export code
    2.
  2. Go to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB and click My Deck => Add a Deck
  3. Once the deck page loads click Edit then do one of the following based on the platform your device is running:
    • (PC Only): Press F12 to open the DevTools window => Navigate to the Console tab in the window => Paste the export code => Hit Enter
    • OR (Other platforms/PC): In the address bar of the current tab remove the URL and type "javascript:" without the quotations then paste the export code, then if you're on mobile look for the *globe* icon and tap on it to run the code (Chrome only), for PC users just hit enter.
  4. The deck will save automatically
  5. Go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

Notes & Combos

Hello to all my Altergeist fans! It's your favorite Altergeist main here, CrimsonReaper5 providing another one of my top tier Altergeist decklists. Put simply, Altergeist is currently not a good deck anymore due to its plethora of bad matchups. For instance, you auto-lose to El Shaddoll Winda and the Utopia matchup is coinflip, with you losing if they went first. I was able to DL MAX, but I maxed late when all the Shaddoll players have already maxed, making my climb easier.

I'll come right out and say it, Shaddolls getting their full support was a mistake. I don't think Duel Links was ready for full power Shaddolls and I genuinely hope the deck is hit hard next banlist. As for my Altergeist decklist, it's pretty standard. Altergeists haven't gotten any new toys as of late (not surprised), so the deck is still the same old same old Silquitous + backrow control.

Some new additions to my decklist are my new Terrors of the Overroot Skill. This Skill helps a lot in returning Silquitous bricks back to the deck and helps salvage weaker hands where I didn't draw enough backrow. Also, having a trap I can activate immediately to get a hard-opened Multifaker going did come up sometimes. Don't sleep on this Skill, it's the best Altergeist Skill currently. You can also run Level 5 Reload, but the problem with that is you can miss and draw a monster when you want a trap, making it an inferior Skill overall.

Then I brought back Kidolga, which was a funny win-con by herself. You don't have to play Kidolga, but now that Lyrilusc is out of the meta, Kidolga sacking is once again playable. I sacked a Utopia player with Kidolga by stealing his Utopia and dealing lethal damage with it.

Another new addition is Salamangreat Almiraj, which can come up against decks that threaten to destroy your Silquitous early. Almiraj and Relinquished Anima are both staples in TCG Altergeist lists so I recommend trying them out.

In conclusion, this meta is unhealthy and I hope we get a good banlist. In the meantime, if Altergeist does get more of its support, I'll have content for you guys on my YouTube channel if you want to support me further there. We are long past the point where Altergeist Protocol is too strong for the game, so I hope we get it soon. I'd also love Malwisp for more combo and Adminia as an additional boss monster. Why is Altergeist forced to play "fair YuGiOh" when Shaddoll and Utopia can plus off a Skill? It makes no sense to me. Altergeist support when Konami?

Replays

For replays, I will provide my DL MAX rankup, where I was able to break full board Shaddoll going second. If you want to see Altergeist piloted by an expert like me, check the replay out. This will teach you how to crack open a full Shaddoll board with a sub-par deck like Altergeists. My hand was also bad, with Silquitous, Multifaker, Terrors of the Overroot, Needle Ceiling, and a Magic Deflector.
